We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to manage the purchasing of outsourced parts, equipment, services, supplies, and other materials needed to manufacture our Autonomous Robotic Construction System (ARCS) and to keep our organization operating efficiently. This role will be responsible for coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotes, placing and tracking orders, maintaining purchasing records, and ensuring employees have the resources they need.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, cost-conscious, and comfortable managing multiple purchasing requests while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. Strong proficiency with ERPs, such as Odoo, is required. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement and inventory information within Odoo.

• Manage day-to-day procurement of raw material to manufacture machine parts, subcontracted components of the machine, electrical components, and other software and hardware components
• Create, submit, and track purchase orders through Odoo
• Receive and review purchasing requests from employees and departments
• Research products and vendors to identify the best combination of price, quality, and delivery time
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes and negotiate pricing when appropriate
• Create and submit purchase orders and track orders through delivery
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendors, pricing, and invoices
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing processes
• Monitor and update inventory in Odoo
• Coordinate deliveries, returns, replacements, and warranty issues
  
  Develop basic purchasing reports and track spending by category or department in Odoo

• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, operations, or a related field
• Ability to work in-person, in Calverton NY, for the duration of your employment
• Strong proficiency with Odoo, particularly Purchase and Inventory
• Experience managing purchase orders and vendor relationships
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to track multiple orders, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Enjoy hands-on, cross-disciplinary work
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing requests
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company

• Experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, robotics, or industrial equipment
• Experience purchasing mechanical or electrical components
• Familiarity with construction materials and suppliers
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
• Experience negotiating vendor pricing
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
