Our client, a growing apparel company is seeking an experienced Director of PD, Production & Global Sourcing to oversee the end-to-end product development and production process across multiple product categories.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to balance cost, quality, production capacity, and speed to market.
- Lead end to end product development across all categories.
- Identify and onboard new factories and sourcing partners while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Lead vendor negotiations, including pricing, payment terms, and long-term production partnerships.
- Oversee factory relationships and allocate production across vendors to maintain efficiency, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate vendor capacity and capabilities to support seasonal production needs and retailer compliance requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align production planning with merchandising, sales, and product development strategies.
- Drive cost optimization through strategic vendor negotiations and supply chain improvements.
- Lead day-to-day sourcing and production operations while managing internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with design, product development, merchandising, planning, and sales teams to align production strategies with business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in global sourcing, production, or supply chain leadership within the apparel industry.
- Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners and complex global supply chains preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international vendor networks, manufacturing processes, and production planning.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, manage vendor partnerships, and drive cost efficiencies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
Full time on site
$180k-200k commensurate of experience
