Job SummaryWe are seeking a responsible, experienced logistics professional to join our team as an Export Coordinator. This role is essential in coordinating daily export operations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
The Export Coordinator is responsible for managing international air export shipments, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage all aspects of air export shipments.
- Ensure bookings are made at current and accurate rates; consolidate and route shipments in accordance with local office procedures.
- Monitor and track all outbound shipments from origin to final destination, ensuring timely updates and communication.
- Send pre-alerts and shipment notifications to destination offices and agents promptly.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and special handling requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment data in the Maestro system, including all milestones and route legs.
- Verify and ensure accuracy and completeness of export documentation, coordinating with the Customer Service department to obtain missing information as needed.
- Handle AES (Automated Export System) filings in compliance with export regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, overseas offices, agents, and service providers.
- Support continuous improvement in production, productivity, and quality standards to achieve departmental goals within set timelines.
- High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic understanding of HS system.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in export freight forwarding or logistics coordination (air export experience highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of air export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Experience with AES filing and export compliance processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and other logistics systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative global team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a time-sensitive environment.
- A positive, professional attitude with a strong commitment to integrity, accuracy, and service excellence.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $19.10 per hour to $23.90 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience.
