Salary: $55,000 - $70,000, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Handle A–Z import operations, including pre-alerts, arrival notices, ISF, documentation review, and coordination with carriers, brokers, and truckers.
• Prepare, file, and track customs entries, ensuring compliance with CBP and partner government agencies.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and overseas agents regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and issue resolution.
• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and other import documents for accuracy.
• Coordinate delivery arrangements, trucking, and final mile logistics.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems throughout the lifecycle of each file.
• Resolve delays, holds, and exceptions while keeping customers informed.
• Support billing by preparing files for invoicing and ensuring all charges are captured.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of freight forwarding experience.
• Customs entry writing experience a plus.
• Ability to manage shipments independently from start to finish.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with industry software a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Must be able to work onsite in Jericho, NY.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $55,000.00 - $70,000.00
