Job Description Position Summary

A global consumer goods organization is seeking a Parcel Operations & Transportation Manager to oversee parcel shipping operations, carrier management, freight cost control, and related financial processes across domestic and international distribution channels. This role is responsible for managing carrier relationships, supporting transportation strategy, ensuring shipment visibility, and driving cost and service optimization across a high-volume parcel network. The position also supports freight audit and payment processes and works cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.

• Manage parcel carrier relationships, performance, and account administration across domestic and international regions.
• Support sourcing and contract renewal activities, including evaluation of carrier proposals and rate structures.
• Partner on transportation strategy to balance cost, service levels, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular business reviews with carriers to monitor performance and address service issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and reduce transportation costs.

• Analyze shipment data to identify cost drivers, service trends, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track transportation performance metrics.
• Monitor shipment performance including transit time, delivery performance, and cost per shipment.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on transportation data analysis.
• Leverage Power BI to build and maintain visibility into key operational metrics.
• Work with SAP and other systems to ensure accurate shipment and financial data tracking.

• Support freight invoice review and payment coordination with Finance and external partners.
• Assist with audit processes to ensure billing accuracy and contract compliance.
• Monitor transportation spend and support accrual and reporting processes.
• Identify billing discrepancies and support recovery of incorrect charges where applicable.
• Maintain accurate tracking of transportation costs and related financial obligations.

• Oversee day-to-day parcel shipping operations across multiple facilities and business units.
• Ensure compliance with internal shipping policies and external carrier requirements.
• Support resolution of shipping issues including delays, losses, and damages.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of shipping activities.
• Maintain structured workflows and prioritize operational needs in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in transportation, parcel operations, logistics, or freight management.
• Strong understanding of parcel shipping, carrier pricing structures, and transportation operations.
• Experience working with large-scale shipping environments across multiple locations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel

• Experience with logistics, ERP, or transportation systems preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
