RoleSourcing Manager, Americas (Footwear and Accessories)
We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver, and capable of combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. The Sourcing Manager, Americas will focus on sourcing footwear and leather goods in the Western Hemisphere (Mexico, Dominican Republic, USA, among others), with emphasis on nearshoring to reduce lead times. This role is critical to optimizing Quince’s supply chain by re-sourcing existing products with long lead times and high logistics costs, as well as identifying and launching new products from the Americas region to drive business growth.
The Sourcing Manager will scout potential suppliers, pitch Quince’s business model, conduct cost analyses for key products, and onboard suppliers into our fast-paced supply chain. They will ensure supplier continuity, conduct periodic business reviews, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Scouting and vetting potential suppliers in the Western Hemisphere.
- Pitching Quince’s business model to key manufacturing partners.
- Conducting cost analyses for core products to ensure competitive pricing.
- Onboarding and integrating suppliers into Quince’s fast-paced supply chain.
- Ensuring long-term supplier success, conducting periodic business reviews, and driving operational efficiencies.
- Developing and executing a category supply chain strategy, including multi-sourcing for the Footwear and Accessories segment (women’s, men’s, kids), across different product and material types.
- Identifying, vetting, and onboarding supplier partners, coaching them to operate within Quince’s rapid replenishment and Made-to-Consumer (M2C) model.
- Training suppliers on Quince OS, including operational efficiency (rapid lead times, consumer focus), financial modeling (high ROIC), and technical capabilities (Vendor Portal).
- Product expansion: collaborating with Merchants and Product Development to introduce new styles and colors approved through our NPC process.
- Driving operational excellence: maintaining high quality standards (defect rate < 0.5%), optimizing supply chain for speed and accuracy (Replenishment Lead Time < 14 days), and maintaining inventory availability (>99% in-stock).
- Improving margin through cost efficiencies and strategic sourcing.
- Conducting Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews with supplier management to analyze strategy, performance, and opportunities for improvement.
Required:
- 8+ years in Strategic Sourcing (footwear/accessories, leather goods), Procurement, or Supplier Management with major U.S.
-based retailers. - Established factory partnerships within footwear and accessories across the Americas (Mexico, Central America, South America, DR) and/or Asia (India, South/Southeast Asia, China as relevant).
- Passion for product development with a track record of leveraging vendor expertise to design, cost-engineer, and bring products to market.
- Lean manufacturing mindset with experience in just-in-time (JIT) processes and supply chain optimization.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with a strong focus on execution, problem-solving, and process improvement.
- Natural connector who builds relationships between internal teams and supplier partners to drive collaboration and shared success.
