We are a growing licensed Apparel & Consumer Goods company that is continually growing and searching for a motivated, organized, and logistics coordinator to join our team.
This is a full-time on-site role for an import coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating bookings, import documentation, and solves problems to help keep shipments moving efficiently from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will need to have a solid understanding of full cycle of air and/or ocean import & customs clearance.
- Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Communicating with internal departments to provide updates on import activities and resolve any discrepancies
- Handling and processing import documentation such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists (Prepare, review, and distribute shipping documents)
- Enter, upload, and compile shipment importation details and commercial invoice data into in-house software systems
- Perform preliminary Entry Summary auditing to help ensure accuracy and compliance prior to submission.
- Assist with invoicing related to import operations and ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Handle multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously while prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
- Ensure strict adherence to customer standard operating procedures and internal company standards throughout the import process.
- Participate in additional duties and special projects as assigned to support the broader import operations team.
- 5 year of experience in supply chain, logistics, or freight forwarding
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures
- Good computer skills with Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience in import coordination or logistics
- Proficiency in import/export software and ERP systems
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Familiarity with customs regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Preferable knowledge in apparel & consumer goods
