Assistant Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

Buyer will analyze supply and demand levels, issue purchase orders accordingly to suppliers, and continually monitor the process of the order to ensure timely shipping and receiving of products. Will plan and implement sourcing and procurement strategies.

• Analyze forecast data and execute purchase plan to ensure alignment of supply and demand.
• Identify and analyze potential issues to ensure demands are fulfilled.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers while negotiating to maximize company benefits.
• Collaborate with related internal teams to maintain an optimum level of inventory.
• Maximize profit through the development and implementation of a strategic buying plan.
• Manage associate buyers.
• Develop strong knowledge of products for production scheduling and quality management.
• Continuously strive to produce more visible, accurate and timely schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers on production schedule, shipping schedule, pending claims or quality issues, and production capability issues.
• Provide shipping directions to suppliers and take necessary steps to ensure products are delivered in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate problem‑solving skills, clear communication, detail orientation, time‑management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

The anticipated compensation range is 22.75 – 44.50 USD hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, education, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time depending on internal and external factors.
