Analyst Schedule Planning

Position Summary:
The Analyst Schedule Planning is an essential member of the Schedule Planning Team, involved in the analysis and build-out of the airline's schedules. This role involves collaborating closely with teams across the organization, and helps to ensure schedules align to meet the company's operating metrics.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintains Jet Blue's cadenced schedule process
- Generates schedule proposals to all Operating departments to ensure final monthly schedules align with operating constraints, cost targets, fleet plan, staffing plans and meets the company's operating metrics
- Works closely with the Route Planning team reviewing schedule patterns and adjusting schedules to align with anticipated passenger demand and profit and loss (P&L) performance in new and existing markets
- Coordinates functions of the Scheduling Team with the functions of other departments internal and external to the Planning Department to ensure that the needs and accomplishments of the department embrace the vision of the company
- Creates ad-hoc schedule scenarios to support Commercial and Operational projects and analysis
- Works with all operating departments to help them fully understand the schedule and put it to action
- Other duties may include supporting other commercial teams with ad-hoc planning requests and producing daily/weekly/monthly reports

Minimum
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Aviation related field, Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Hospitality, Engineering, Logistics, Computer Studies, or a related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Two (2) years of analytical experience
- Ability to effectively manage numerous schedules and resolve scheduling issues independently under tight deadlines on an ongoing basis
- Strong written and verbal communication ability
- Candidates must demonstrate analysis, interpretation, and communication skills in a work sample assessment
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred
Experience and Qualifications:
- One (1) year of airline planning and/or scheduling experience
- Understanding of airline operations and planning as it relates to the development of the schedule
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and Power Point
- Past experience with Sabre Air Vision suite or comparable scheduling tool
- Ability to work well with all levels of leadership
- Strong attention to detail
Crew member Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on Jet Blue flights, and if time permits, all capable crew members are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Promote Jet Blue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting Jet Blue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
- Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Jet Blue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is between $67,000.00 and $ per year. Base pay is one component of Jet Blue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crew member stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on Jet Blue, and more.
