Drive compliant, scalable and value-focused customs execution across the Americas. This role connects the Global Customs & Trade team with regional stakeholders and partners across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil, governing customs operations, strategic duty-saving programs, market expansion and regulatory risk.

The Senior Lead, Americas Regional Customs role will report to the Head of Customs & Trade on the Global Customs & Trade team, supporting the Americas region.

Your mission
  • – Own the regional implementation of global customs policies, controls and governance standards across the Americas.
  • – Oversee customs activities performed by brokers and operational partners, ensuring consistent compliance, performance and accountability without directly managing daily execution.
  • – Identify, build and implement customs value-creation programs such as Duty Drawback, Foreign Trade Zones, First Sale for Export, preferential trade programs and valuation-related opportunities.
  • – Lead the customs design and governance of new markets, business models and complex flows, including regulatory requirements, licenses, processes, controls and partner readiness.
  • – Monitor customs risks, broker performance, operational KPIs and realized savings, addressing exceptions and driving sustainable root-cause improvements.
  • – Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, Logistics, Operations, Product and regional leadership to embed customs requirements into business decisions and provide clear visibility of risks, opportunities and financial impact.
Your story
  • – You hold an active U.S. Customs Broker License. This is a mandatory requirement for the role.
  • – You bring 10+ years of experience in customs, trade compliance, international logistics or customs duty-optimization programs.
  • – You have deep practical knowledge of U.S. and Canadian customs requirements, with relevant exposure to Mexico and/or Brazil.
  • – You have implemented or governed customs programs such as CTPAT, Foreign Trade Zones, Duty Drawback, First Sale for Export and preferential trade programs.
  • – You are experienced in leading through customs brokers, consultants and cross-functional stakeholders, translating strategy into clear processes, controls and measurable outcomes.
  • – You are fluent in English and Spanish;
Portuguese is considered a strong advantage.

Attributes of a successful candidate:

  • Critical Thinking
Synthesizes customs regulations, operational realities, financial data and stakeholder perspectives to identify root causes, challenge assumptions and develop scalable solutions.
  • Complex Decision Making
Makes well-reasoned decisions in ambiguous or high-risk situations by balancing regulatory requirements, financial opportunity, operational feasibility and the wider business impact.
  • Influential Communication
Translates complex customs topics into clear, business-relevant recommendations and builds alignment with Finance, Tax, Legal, Logistics, Operations and regional leadership.
  • Risk Taking
Constructively challenges established approaches and proposes calculated opportunities for value creation, clearly evaluating the potential benefits, risks and compliance safeguards before acting.
  • Collaborates
Builds trusted relationships across regions, functions and external partners to achieve shared outcomes, clarify ownership and ensure customs requirements are embedded into business processes.
  • Drives Results
Takes accountability for regional customs outcomes, follows through on commitments and converts strategy into measurable progress across compliance, operational performance and duty savings.
