Strategic Sourcing Analyst

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join their team in downtown, New York. This individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day purchasing and procurement process, working with vendors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring goods and services are purchased efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day procurement and purchasing process
• Create, process, and track purchase orders
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, orders, deliveries, and discrepancies
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes and assist with vendor selection
• Negotiate pricing and terms when appropriate
• Maintain accurate vendor, purchasing, and contract records
• Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Resolve invoice, purchase order, and vendor discrepancies
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams
• Assist with vendor onboarding and maintain vendor documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and reduce costs
• Prepare procurement reports and track spending as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of procurement, purchasing, or vendor management experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience working with purchase orders and procurement systems preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently and communicating directly with vendors
