Location: New York

Our client, a luxury fragrance company, is seeking a Demand Planner to support demand forecasting and inventory planning across multiple brands and SKUs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update demand forecasts using historical sales data, trends, seasonality, distribution changes, and business inputs.
  • Analyze sales and demand trends to identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales teams to gather promotional plans, distribution changes, customer activity, and other factors that may impact demand.
  • Prepare demand planning reports and analyses, including forecast accuracy, bias, variances, and inventory trends.
  • Support monthly S&OP meetings by preparing demand planning analyses and materials.
  • Support SKU rationalization by analyzing product performance and identifying low-performing or declining SKUs.
  • Support new product launch and product transition forecasting using comparable product performance, distribution assumptions, and Sales and Marketing input.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning, Material Planning, Global Trade Marketing, and Global Marketing to maintain alignment on forecasts and inventory needs.
  • Assist with inventory allocation and transfers by monitoring inventory levels, demand, and shipment requirements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other related duties as assigned or required.
Education/Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or sales analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Beauty, luxury, CPG, or fashion industry experience
Required Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally on a global scale.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
