This position is responsible for the daily management of the maintenance department. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
PRINCIPLEACCOUNTABILITIES Daily Managing
- Follow-up regarding:
Quality, Safety, Turnover, Sanitation - Cost-Containment / Efficiency of Materials
- Maintain equipment in use in daily operation
- Maintain Fresh Pack Equipment
- Maintain facility – i.e. overhead doors, lighting, plumbing, & other building needs
- Preventative Maintenance Programs – Administration
- Parts/ Crib – inventory management
- On the floor
- Troubleshooting with equipment & systems
- Providing leadership with technical expertise
- Evaluation of new equipment, facilities, and repairs
- Execution & Management of Capital Projects
- Reports for equipment repairs & downtime
- Projections for future breakdowns / rebuilds
- 4 year Technical degree or equivalent
- Certifications not required; however, certificates in the following areas are valuable:
Government Approvals, Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Chemical Handling, Programming, OSHA, Welding, Wastewater Treatment - 10 years’ experience in any three (3) of the major areas listed below in a plant environment:
- Facilities Management
- Equipment Maintenance
- Preventative Maintenance
- Electrical skills – knowledge of industrial electricity, Power Plant Administration
- Mechanical skills – knowledge/ability in industrial mechanics
- Welding skills – knowledge of
