Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Under the direction of the corps officer, the maintenance supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment of the Bushwick Corps. The maintenance supervisor is also responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems within the Bushwick Corps property and building.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees and volunteers
  • General maintenance of all Salvation Army property including parking lot areas; general building upkeep.
  • Receiving all deliveries and ensuring they are securely packed and stored.
  • Perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Perform minor repairs such as ceiling, tile changes, leak stops where required.
  • Keep the front of the building clean and free of garbage.
  • Update inventories and supplies as needed, as approved by the corps.
  • Coordinate or install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, and related systems within all departments as approved by the corps.
  • Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves, and landscaping.
  • Coordinate renovations of existing facilities and new construction projects.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Two or more years of experience in general maintenance or related responsibilities, including recognizing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Training beyond high school level in maintenance and repair or a closely related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
