Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods into and out of the Gamer’s Choice warehouse. This role ensures that incoming shipments are accurately checked, documented, and prepared to be stocked, and that outgoing shipments are prepared, packaged, and ready for prior to the scheduled pickup time.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming products for damage or irregularities
- Verify items against ASN (Advance Shipping Notice)
- Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
- Update shipment status and tracking in warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Maintain clean, organized docks for efficient workflow
- Prepare the dock for incoming shipments
- Coordinate with the Outbound team and the Inventory Specialist to maintain an organized inventory
- Maintain timely escalations on all irregularities in received products/shipments
- Prepare all products once packed by fulfillment for shipment
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Experience with shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift packages (often 30–50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with shipping platforms (UPS World Ship, Fed Ex Ship Manager, etc.).
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Forklift and/or pallet jack certification is a plus.
- Previous experience with ERP or WMS systems.
- Knowledge of packaging requirements and warehouse safety standards.
