Reporting to the Supervisor of Lincoln Center Campus and Facilities Operations, the Cleaner I provides cleaning and portering services throughout the University complex.

This position requires work hours Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 PM.

Essential Functions

• Provides cleaning and portering services in both academic and residential University buildings.
• Removes recyclables and trash in accordance with University procedures.
• Delivers mail in the buildings.
• Rearranges furniture and performs move jobs when requested.
• Keeps building entrances and perimeters clear of snow, ice, leaves, garbage, and other debris as needed.
• Must sign in and out for all keys.
• Performs other duties as required.

Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months of prior cleaning experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Must be able to read and follow written instructions in English.
• Must have knowledge of general cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance, including standard use of power washers, stand‑up vacuums & backpack vacuums.

Minimum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service: $2,520.80

Maximum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service: $2,520.80

Minimum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $2,016.80
