Security​/Maintenance; -Queens Temple Corps

Under the direction of Corps Officers, the security and maintenance personnel help ensure the building is properly cleaned and sanitary for staff and visitors. Maintain the Chapel clean and in order.

• Report directly to Officers regarding all janitorial and facility-related issues, repairs, hazards, defects, and supplies.
• Clean and sanitize women’s and men’s restrooms in the office and chapel sections.
• Maintain and clean public areas and work spaces as assigned.
• Empty trash cans from the kitchen as needed.
• Maintain floors: clean, strip, wax, and vacuum as directed.
• Perform minor repairs as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned by Officers.
• Recognize priorities and perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of clients in the Corps program.
• Interact positively and helpfully with co-workers, volunteers, clients, and visitors.
• Maintain a positive attitude and support a collaborative work environment.
• Project a professional image as a worker of the Corps.

• Ability to read and write in English and Spanish.
• Experience working with disadvantaged populations.
• Ability to work primarily standing and moving.
• Ability to follow instructions and familiarity with building safety and maintenance.
