Who We Are

Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is a Charter Management Organization (CMO) supporting schools in the Bronx, NY and Stamford, CT. Our programs are based on a proven, nationally recognized model, which originated in our flagship school, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, a National Blue Ribbon School.

We accomplish this by offering a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum, which at the earliest of grades has an eye toward college preparation.

Who We Need

We are searching for a results-oriented, experienced Porter who will support the Facilities and Maintenance Team in cleaning and maintaining the school’s buildings and systems.

• Cleaning:
  Responsible for utilizing the best techniques to clean and maintain all areas to a level consistent with the high standards of the School.
• Moving & Set-ups:
  Responsible for moving and/or arranging furniture, equipment, deliveries, and boxes throughout as necessary.
• Paint, Maintenance & Repairs:
  Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building by assisting in painting and repair work as directed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.). All work must be performed in a timely manner and at a level consistent with the high standards and needs of the School.

• Must be familiar with all chemicals and tools necessary in the execution of the work.
• Must have the ability to interact positively with Supervisors and co-workers, and work well in a team environment.
• Must be friendly, courteous, polite, able to communicate well with others, and to offer help when assistance is needed.
• THIS POSITION REQUIRES YOU TO BE FULLY VACCINATED AND YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF VACCINATION.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Starting salary is $47,741
