Compensation Range: $17/hr - $18/hr commensurate with experience.

We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.

The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the building’s offices and office bathrooms and assisting with furniture assembly.

Primary:

• Adhere to the custodial and preventative maintenance plan to ensure that the facility’s common spaces – pantry area, bathrooms, offices, residential spaces – are clean, sanitary, and properly stocked with supplies.

Secondary:

• Assist clients to prepare for moving out of the hotel program by assisting them with packing and inventorying their belongings. Improve facility maintenance operations by ensuring that work orders are closed promptly, and maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality.
• Close 95% of work orders within the specified time frame.

• High School Diploma or GED is a plus.
• Able to lift 50lbs., carry and remove trash, and climb a ladder.
• The Custodian position is one which requires the staff person to be present in the program site 100% of the time.
• The Custodian must handle cleaning chemicals and solvents daily.
• Able to maintain a high level of client confidentiality.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills.
