SALARY: $24 – $28/hour
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The E91 Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the overall facilities management and operations le a key part of the role involves setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for events, the E91 Operations Associate also plays a crucial role in supporting the Facilities and Operations Manager in the ongoing care and upkeep of the building, including minor repairs and ensuring the building remains clean, safe, and well-functioning for all users.

The ideal candidate is service- and hospitality-oriented, enjoys being part of a team, and is eager to take on challenges and learn new things in a dynamic environment. This is a part-time position with employee-only benefits, requiring flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events, ensuring all event spaces are ready for use.
  • Provide on-site operations support during events, responding to client and guest needs and troubleshooting facilities-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the events staff to handle event needs such as adjusting room setups, clearing trash, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with building security, including locking/unlocking spaces and ensuring all areas are secure.
  • Assist with light cleaning tasks, including handling spills, maintaining restrooms, taking out garbage, and helping to keep kitchen areas clean.
  • Ensure that all clients and guests comply with E91 building and event policies, helping to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Address minor building repairs such as fixing door handles, replacing light bulbs, or patching small wall damage.
  • Maintain a clean and safe exterior by hosing down or clearing sidewalks, shoveling snow, and ensuring unobstructed access to the building.
  • Work closely with the Facilities and Operations Lead on larger building projects and more complex maintenance tasks.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • S-95 Certificate of Fitness (or comparable FDNY fire and life safety certification, such as S-97, F-89, or S-98, preferred).
  • 2 years hands-on experience in event operations, building maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Service- and hospitality-oriented with a cooperative, team-focused attitude.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, staff, and vendors professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols and facility safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working with tools and basic repair equipment (preferred).
  • Spanish proficiency, and knowledge of other languages, is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events and building needs.
