Base pay range$25.00/hr – $35.58/hr
Position SummaryA regional Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing Field Service activities for all local Orange EV vehicles. This individual will diagnose, repair, and provide root‑cause analysis; evaluate Remote Monitoring System data to identify potential performance concerns; study vehicle utilization; accurately record all service work and develop relevant reports; collaborate with customers and third‑party service providers; provide technical support for sales and marketing;
perform field upgrades or retrofits; and facilitate tool and parts warehousing. Working with the Service Team, the Technician will plan and execute a comprehensive service strategy for the region.
- Understand the vehicle at a systemic/component level to diagnose and repair efficiently.
- Represent Orange EV in the utmost professional manner.
- Use the Remote Monitoring System and the Service Record‑Keeping System to determine a service plan and prioritize customer needs.
- Accurately record all service activity in the record‑keeping system.
- Communicate with customers and third‑party providers to aid diagnosis, issue escalation, and promote efficient repair scenarios.
- Work with the site manager and electrician on logistics of charging‑infrastructure location, cost, and timing.
- Evaluate conversion‑vehicle candidates and prepare a thorough condition report.
- Support customer technicians and third‑party providers with ancillary repairs.
- Maintain a secure remote location for tools, parts, and other items.
- Deliver operator and maintenance training and provide sales and business development support.
- Travel as required for initial training and to meet service‑team goals and customer needs.
- High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
- 1+ year experience in automotive or electrical industries.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Knowledge of customer‑service principles and processes.
- Analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at waist level and occasionally up to 75‑100 lbs.
- Ability to squat, sit, lie under, or climb on a vehicle routinely.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities.
- Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them on schedule.
- Ability to execute and follow through on supervisor instructions.
- Strong written communication skills, including composition, spelling, and punctuation.
