PURPOSE
The CHIEF MAINTENANCE is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance operations to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This executive-level role provides strategic direction for maintenance policies and procedures, leads capital improvement projects, manages a team of engineers and technicians, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee the implementation of all property and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance; monitor life safety systems.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
- Respond in a courteous and timely manner to guest questions, complaints or requests.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of the building, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning (HVAC), ventilation, water treatment systems and swimming pools.
- Schedule staff to perform Preventive Maintenance Program and follow/enforce procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc.
- Monitor supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing waste and ensuring equipment is prepared for the next shift.
- Monitor work order volume and prioritize assignments for the team as necessary.
- Inspect work assignments of maintenance staff to ensure work is completed timely and within specifications.
- Manage shift operations including staff scheduling, training and coaching.
- Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and compliance with prescribed work, break and meal periods.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming in accordance with the dress code.
- Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.
