** Monday – Friday, 8 am - 2 pm
** Position Overview
** The Facilities Specialist oversees the daily maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of all organizational facilities, physical assets, and equipment. This role ensures a seamless, safe, and well-maintained environment for employees and visitors while driving process improvements and managing vendor relationships.  ##

Key Responsibilities
* Coordinates repair and maintenance work assignments performed by vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work. Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed.
* Handle daily office repairs, painting, carpentry, and light plumbing or electrical tasks.
* Monitor climate control settings and coordinate preventative maintenance for all central building systems.
* Distribute and replenish corporate office supplies, kitchen stock, and facility maintenance tools.
* Ensures and maintains a clean, safe and productive environment for staff.
* Oversees schedules for preventative maintenance and ensures that facilities are inspected regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs. Ensures repairs comply with internal policies and external regulations [EPA, OSHA, NATEF, ACCSC etc.].
* Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures.
* Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
* Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
* Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events.
* Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities.
* Complete auditable records: packing slips, pick lists, job close out paperwork.
* Deliver materials to job sites when needed.
* Use computer software system to issue and receive material.
* Additional duties as assigned  ## Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED.
* 2-5 years of experience in building maintenance including a skilled trade required.
* Licensed and/or certified in one or more of the following areas is preferred; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general contractor skills a plus.
* Intermediate level in functional skills; HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, welding, safe use of power and hand tools.
* Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
