Job Description

The Building sand Grounds Employeereportstothe Building sand Grounds Foreperson and Director  of Facilities.

B&Gstaffareanintegralpartofthe Building sand Ground steam .Theidealcandidateis insightful, visionary, analytical, and detail-oriented, while being mindful of the importance of building meaningful relationships with the school’s various constituents.

• Ventandfilter cleaning
  • Performs general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors. Waxingasneeded;
    
    Abilitytouse/learnfloorcaremachines(sidebysideandburnisher)
  • Usingvacuumingequipment;vacuumsandcleanscarpets,performfurthertreatmentssuch as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
• Disposingoftrashfrombinsand containers
• Polishingfurnitureandroomaccessoriesas needed
• Scrubbing sinks,basins,andtoiletsinprivateandpublic bathrooms
• Ensuringsafeandsanitarystorageandcareof products
• Reportingrepairsandreplacementsneededwhenencounteredonthe job
• Assistwithschooleventsas necessary.

• Physicallyabletoreach,stretch,bend,andwalkduringthedailyroutine,withabilitytoclimb stairs, stand for long lengths of time; physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds

City and Country School offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with level of experience and qualifications, with a starting hourly rate of $24.21/hr this full-time bargaining unit position is in-person five days per week at the school’s campus in Manhattan’s West Village.
