Maintenance Shift Supervisor | $95K-$110K | Direct Hire
LiDestri Foods | Fairport & Greece, NY | Overnight Shift | 2-2-3 Schedule
Are You the Person Everyone Calls When Production Equipment Goes Down?
Do you love figuring out why a machine isn't running right? Are you the kind of leader who would rather be on the production floor solving problems with your team than sitting behind a desk?
If you know your way around manufacturing equipment, enjoy leading technicians, and thrive when things get challenging, we want to talk to you!
Datrose is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Shift Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity with LiDestri Foods, a high-volume food manufacturing operation with locations in Fairport and Greece, NY.
This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk management position. You'll spend approximately 75% of your shift on the production floor, leading your maintenance team, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping production moving.
Let's Talk About the Schedule
6:00 PM-6:30 AM | Overnight Shift | 2-2-3 Rotation
The schedule is consistent. You'll always work nights, so there's no switching back and forth between days and overnights.
And the 2-2-3 schedule comes with some advantages:
- Every other weekend off.
- A three-day weekend every other week.
- Predictable workdays and days off.
- A consistent schedule that makes planning your personal time easier.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead From the Floor:
Coach, develop, and support a team of maintenance technicians while staying actively involved in daily operations. - Be the Problem Solver:
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related equipment issues to minimize production downtime. - Keep Production Running:
Respond to breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and coordinate maintenance activities during your shift. - Get Ahead of Problems:
Support preventive maintenance programs, identify recurring equipment issues, and help develop long-term solutions. - Work Across Departments:
Collaborate with Production and Engineering on equipment improvements, repairs, and upgrades. - Develop Your Team:
Manage scheduling, performance, training, and professional development. - Make Safety a Priority:
Reinforce safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. - Stay Organized:
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance activities through the CMMS.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
We're looking for someone who combines technical know-how with strong leadership skills.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have maintenance leadership or production supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Understand mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and aren't afraid to get involved.
- Have experience with preventive maintenance and CMMS systems.
- Enjoy coaching technicians and helping your team grow.
- Can prioritize repairs and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, or continuous manufacturing is especially valuable.
An associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred, but practical experience matters.
Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
Don't have the title of Maintenance Manager? That's okay!
If you've been a Production Supervisor, Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Team Lead, or Shift Supervisor with strong hands-on maintenance experience, we'd like to hear from you.
