Position Summary:

In this pivotal role, the Custodian will play a vital part in upholding the cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards of our facilities. The selected Custodian will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including performing thorough cleaning duties, conducting regular facility inspections, and promptly addressing any maintenance concerns or safety hazards. Essential Functions:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
  Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
• Trash Disposal:
  Regularly empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures to maintain tidiness and sanitation.
• Supply Management:
  Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels for ongoing facility maintenance.
• Facility Inspections:
  Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Minor Maintenance:
  Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing fixtures to address facility upkeep needs promptly.
• Security Measures:
  Ensure that all areas of the facility are secure and locked at the end of each day to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard company assets.
• Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for all employees and visitors, reducing the risk of accidents or injuries.
• Consistently demonstrate that the company's core values are carried out through daily operations and customer interactions.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or a related discipline is often required or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, and demonstrate effective communication skills. Additionally, physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects are necessary. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures is also beneficial.
