Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Maintenance Technician to join our team at Smithtown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facility. This is a per diem position, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, day and evenings

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, fixtures, and appliances throughout the facility
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure continuous facility operation
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and protocols
• Perform other maintenance tasks as needed, including basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work
• Fix furniture or repairing, painting, wall repair as needed

• Basic maintenance and repair knowledge
• Ability to adapt to new responsibilities and tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the facility with ease
• High school diploma or equivalent required
