Job Description
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies that align with strategic business objectives for the US market.
- Manage media relations, including pitching stories, responding to inquiries, and building relationships with key publications.
- Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams including to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Manage relationship with external agency ensuring deliverables and accountability on behalf of the department and firm.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
- Manage and provide support to two team members within the PR department.
- Collaborate and advise firm and practice leadership on strategic initiatives, sensitive communications and thought leadership.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Associate Director of PR should have:
- 15+ years of proven expertise in public relations including legal & professional services experience.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
- Experience managing media relations and building relationships with journalists.
- Proven ability to create and implement strategic PR campaigns.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Previous people management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in legal PR and marketing.
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary $195,000 - $235,000 annually, depending on experience.
