Role OverviewThis is a high-impact, high-visibility role tied directly to business growth goals. The Product Development & Brand Manager will own end-to-end product development and brand execution for the Pet Collection, leading products from concept through launch and managing the full product lifecycle.
The role originally began as a Product Development Associate position; the prior employee was promoted due to strong performance and later exited due to relocation. The role has been open for several months, and the team is motivated to hire the right person.
What You’ll Do- Lead new product development strategy informed by consumer, market, and competitive insights
- Manage product development timelines, ensuring on-time launches, quality standards, and legal requirements
- Own pricing strategy and COGS management to meet margin targets
- Work hands-on with vendors and suppliers
, managing daily communication and technical product details - Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Creative, and external engineers
- Collaborate closely with Marketing on brand vision, storytelling, packaging, content, and launch execution
- Partner with Sales to translate marketing plans into retailer strategies, including assortment, placement, line reviews, and exclusives
- Create and deliver brand and product presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze product performance (POS, shipments) and lead annual product complexity reduction
- Manage key deliverables including forecasts, samples, packaging requests, and launch materials
- Execute product and brand training
- Anticipate risks and develop alternative plans to keep projects on schedule
- 4-5+ years of product management experience
, ideally in the Pet industry - Beauty candidates considered if they have a strong passion for pets
- Experience helping build or grow a newer brand or product line
- Strong understanding of the grooming tools or consumer tools category
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Data-driven and comfortable analyzing performance metrics
- Socially engaged with interest in influencers and content
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Day-to-day work is hands-on
, including vendor meetings, technical product details, and cross-functional coordination - Strong emphasis on brand vision, storytelling, and launch execution
, particularly at this stage of growth - Close collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams is essential

Compensation: $78K–$88K base salary + $3K bonus + profit sharing (approximately $98K total compensation
). They fully cover employees’ premium + deductible ~$12k
