We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent with a DOB license to join a prestigious, well-established general contractor expanding from London into New York City. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first key hires as the company establishes its presence in NYC, with the potential for significant growth within the organization.
The role involves overseeing high-end residential projects, including apartments, penthouses, and townhouses, and will play a pivotal part in the company’s success as it expands into the New York market. There is also a possibility of profit sharing for the right candidate, making this a unique opportunity for long-term success.
This is an on-site role, ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a leadership position and can manage projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the construction of high-end residential projects in New York City.
- Oversee all site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations and other local building codes.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and the project team to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Enforce health and safety standards on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in high-end residential construction projects.
- Valid DOB license for New York City.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
