Job Description
The Email Marketing Manager role leads the strategy, execution, and optimization of Merkle’s external email communications. This Senior Manager will develop and implement effective B2B email strategies that drive engagement, nurture leads, and support conversion goals. They will align email initiatives with broader digital marketing efforts for a cohesive cross‑channel approach.
Responsibilities- Lead strategic planning for the email channel, identifying opportunities to enhance audience engagement and strengthen nurture journeys.
- Manage the end‑to‑end email marketing process from planning and creative direction through testing, deployment, and performance tracking.
- Execute and optimize tailored email nurture, newsletter, batch, blast, and event campaigns that deliver relevant content to target audiences.
- Pull and analyze email performance data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and translate insights into strategic recommendations and actionable optimizations.
- Partner with the broader digital team to connect insights and activities across platforms and channels.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Marketing Operations, Content, and Creative, to ensure a cohesive cross‑channel approach and consistent messaging.
- Analyze audience data, customer journeys, and competitive trends to develop targeted segmentations and inform personalized email marketing strategies.
- Conduct A/B tests and implement data‑driven optimization strategies to continuously improve deliverability, open rates, click‑through rates, and conversions.
- Design and create compelling email templates that adhere to brand guidelines and best practices for optimal user experience and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of email marketing experience, including at least 3 years executing Marketo campaigns.
- Experience with HTML/CSS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
- Proven analytical skills with experience in reporting, optimization, and data‑driven decision making.
- Understanding of lead management and scoring processes.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a quality‑oriented approach.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic email programs that drive engagement, lead conversion, and client retention.
- Experience in the B2B industry is a plus.
Hybrid:
If you reside in NYC, Chicago, Detroit, or Los Angeles and are within a 90‑minute commute to a Dentsu office.
Remote:
For other locations.
$68,000 – $110,400 per year.
