Company Description
The New York Auto Museum Experience Center (NYAM) is a proposed state-of-the-art, 200,000+ square-foot facility in Manhattan, featuring a modern design with a rooftop patio and partially glassed floors. Visitors will enjoy a unique way of experiencing automotive history, with the ability to view vehicles from above and below. The museum offers the chance to sit in up to 50 historic vehicles at any time, redefining the conventional concept of an automotive museum.

NYAM aims to create an unforgettable and interactive experience for car enthusiasts and visitors of all ages.

Role Description

This is a remote donation based (4-6hrs per month) role for a position on the Executive Committee at the New York Auto Museum Experience Center . The role involves strategizing and driving the center’s vision, overseeing operational and financial planning, and leading collaborative efforts to achieve organizational goals. Additional responsibilities include advising on museum exhibits, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives while ensuring alignment with the vision of revolutionizing the automotive museum experience.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and strategic planning skills, with proven experience in an executive or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in financial management, budget planning, and business development.
  • Experience in marketing, public relations, and cultivating community or corporate partnerships.
  • Knowledge and passion for automotive history, museums, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • A forward-thinking, innovative mindset combined with a strong focus on the visitor experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Museum Studies, or a related field; advanced degree highly preferred.
