As Senior Director, Associate General Counsel – Litigation, you will report directly to the Head of Litigation and serve as a trusted legal and strategic advisor to the business.##

## This role is designed for a hands-on senior leader who can hit the ground running—someone who is equally effective operating at the executive level while leading and empowering teams below them. You will be responsible for translating enterprise and executive leadership priorities into clear, actionable objectives across the litigation organization and ensuring consistent execution. In this highly visible role, you will provide senior-level legal counsel across litigation matters related to both our Auto and Commercial claims while leading and developing a team of attorneys.

You will partner closely with Claims executives to manage legal, financial, and reputational risk, drive operational excellence, and support transformation initiatives. This role has regular interaction with GEICO’s senior leadership team and plays a critical role in navigating complex legal challenges while enabling business growth.## ##

* Key Responsibilities:

** Litigation Management:**  + ## Serve as a senior legal leader for GEICO’s Claims litigation portfolio.  + ## Manage the team handling all phases of litigation (discovery, motions, trial, appeal) and investigations; manage outside counsel, budgets, and fee negotiations.  + ## Partner with Claims leadership to help design, build, and scale a litigation support model aligned to the expansion of GEICO’s commercial claims business, including assessment talent needs, defining roles, and establishing operating structure.  

+ ## Partner with Claims and Product leadership to help design, implement, and refine claims processes and procedures that support the launch and scaling of new commercial insurance product lines, ensuring legal risk appropriately identified, mitigated, and operationalized.  + ## Oversee and drive continuous improvement of litigation operations, including legal intake processes, workflows, metrics, and reporting.## * ##
