Position Overview

The Head of Capital Formation at Initio Capital is a strategic leadership role focused on overseeing the firm's fundraising efforts and managing investor relations. The individual in this role will drive capital raising initiatives for private equity, venture capital, and other investment funds, ensuring that Initio Capital is well-positioned to meet its investment goals. The Head of Capital Formation will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement fundraising strategies and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capital Raising Leadership: Spearhead the capital raising process for private equity, venture capital, and other investment funds.
  • Investor Relations Management: Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring continued support and engagement.
  • Fund Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership and investment teams to structure and design investment funds that align with market trends and investor preferences.
  • Market Research: Analyze capital markets and investor sentiment to identify emerging trends and tailor fundraising strategies.
  • Fundraising Execution: Lead all stages of fundraising, from initial outreach to closing commitments, ensuring successful capital raises for new funds.
  • Investor Communications: Oversee the development of pitch materials, fundraising presentations, and investor updates that effectively communicate investment strategies and performance metrics.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the legal, compliance, and investment teams to ensure that fundraising activities are aligned with the firm’s investment strategy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing capital formation team, providing leadership and guidance to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all investor-related communications and fundraising efforts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track fundraising progress and optimize capital formation efforts.
  • Strategic Investor Positioning: Position the firm as a leading player in the market by developing strategies to enhance the firm’s reputation and brand among institutional investors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, or a similar role with a focus on private equity, venture capital, or other investment strategies.
  • Proven success in leading capital raising efforts
    , including the ability to source and engage investors, manage due diligence processes, and close significant capital commitments.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, and fundraising dynamics, particularly in private equity and venture capital.
  • Strong communication skills
