Overview

Ketchum is looking to hire a Vice President, Group Manager to help to lead and direct program efforts to ensure client satisfaction and bring a value‑added approach to client work. We are looking for an individual with strong initiative, precision and focus on detail, accustomed to a fast‑paced environment and professionalism. We are more than just a public relations and communications agency.

This person will also be able to lead programs focusing on driving the client’s reputation and brand. The ideal candidate is a strategic communications guru, someone who understands industrial manufacturing and the technology behind it, unfazed by new challenges, excels at client service and can successfully drive teams, project manage and thrive in an integrated team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead agency contact to a large client engagement in our Lifestyle group; lead and direct all program efforts to client satisfaction; bring a value‑added approach to all projects
  • Serve as senior contact for clients, work and engage C‑suite, demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of clients’ business and industry; develop strategy and lead successful tactical execution of client programs
  • Help account teams work effectively and in the best interests of clients
  • Maximize agency’s network of resources to enhance client services
  • Lead projects from concept/planning to activation; encourage effective delegation of project deliverables; ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
  • Work with other integrated agency partnerships and relationships
  • Motivate and mentor team members—maintaining a high level of energy; encourage teams to take advantage of training and development opportunities
  • Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills; deliver strategic, engaging, and persuasive presentations to articulate ideas to clients, colleagues, and others effectively
  • Troubleshoot clients’ issues/problems
  • Manage account team financials including accurate budget creation, budget allocation, client billing, supplier invoicing, and purchase orders; ensure team billability and account profitability by managing the scope of work to those budgets
  • Participate in external company promotion through articles, speeches, presentations, professional memberships, etc. to increase Ketchum’s visibility in the marketplace and create new business opportunities
  • Attract, grow, engage, and retain talent. Contribute to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture, where every employee feels a sense of belonging
