The RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated
Account Director

- Strategic Oversight:Report to Agency EVP to support EVP priorities including keeping account teams on track, refining client strategy, supporting on media relations efforts and managing the logistics of new business pitches.
- Quality Control:Serve as Project Manager / Quality Control point to ensure client work is delivered on time and reflective of agency excellence.
- Workflow Management:Help manage the flow of account work among team members to ensure client objectives are met and deliverables are high quality and creative.
- Review & Edit:Be responsible for reviewing and editing all written materials—including press lists—developed by team.
- Media Relations:Support media relations for client teams, from producing materials that will secure proactive coverage to cultivating relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Training:Participate in and conduct media training sessions and media interviews.
- Material Development:Demonstrate ability to effectively develop a full range of materials including strategic plans, press materials, social copy, digital content, client correspondence, and more.
- Problem Solving:Provide solutions and recommendations to senior staff to leverage opportunities and troubleshoot client-related challenges.
- Team Guidance:Deliver constructive and clear feedback to diverse teams on behalf of EVP.
- Collaborative Relationships:Show a high level of integrity in counseling and consulting to develop strong, collaborative relationships with team members.
- New Business:Collaborate on new business efforts, including drafting proposals, conducting research, and participating on calls/presentations.
- Experience:6+ years of professional experience at a public relations agency or as part of an in-house communications team, with finance, tech, and/or corporate B2B experience a plus.
- Leadership:Management experience with oversight of direct reports for at least 3 years.
- PR Expertise:Expertise with traditional and non-traditional PR strategies and tactics; demonstrated success in securing top-tier press coverage.
- Communication:Excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong aptitude and interest in writing.
- Drive:Self-starter and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and driving multiple projects across the finish line at once.
- Precision:Exceptional attention to detail, follow up, and organization skills.
- Tech Savvy:Digital and social media savvy a plus.
