Description Inventory Control Manager

Brooklyn, NY | On-site

Lil Sweet Treat is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Inventory Control Manager to own all inventory accuracy, movement, and retail transfer operations across our warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory is received correctly, stored properly, counted accurately, and transferred on time —with clean systems, tight processes, and zero guesswork.

The Inventory Control Manager leads inventory operations end-to-end, manages retail transfer orders, and sets the standard for cleanliness, organization, and accountability in the warehouse. This role partners closely with Fulfillment, Retail, and Operations leadership and leads a team responsible for daily execution.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Ownership & Accuracy
  • Own all warehouse inventory accuracy across raw materials, finished goods, and retail SKUs
  • Ensure inventory is
    received, verified, labeled, and stocked correctly upon arrival
  • Maintain accurate system counts through disciplined
    cycle counts and audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with root-cause analysis and corrective action
  • Maintain clear location logic, labeling standards, and stock organization
Retail Transfer Orders & Inventory Movement
  • Prepare, stage, and execute retail transfer orders with accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate inventory availability, quantities, and timelines with cross functional teams
  • Ensure transfer orders are
    picked, packed, documented, and reconciled correctly
  • Manage inventory movement between warehouse, retail locations, and off-site storage
Receiving & Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee all
    incoming purchase order receiving
    , including count verification and quality checks
  • Ensure proper storage, FIFO/FEFO practices, and space optimization
  • Maintain warehouse
    cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
    across all inventory areas
  • Set clear SOPs for receiving, stocking, counting, and transfers
  • Lead and develop the Inventory Control team with a focus on
    accuracy, discipline, and ownership
  • Own
    daily task planning and team scheduling
    , including coordination with drivers
  • Train team members on inventory systems, SOPs, and counting standards
  • Conduct performance reviews with clear metrics tied to accuracy and execution
Drivers & Logistics Coordination
  • Manage
    driver schedules
    for retail deliveries, transfers, and inventory movements
  • Ensure loads are staged accurately and drivers are dispatched with correct documentation
  • Coordinate with Fulfillment and Retail teams to align delivery timing and priorities
  • Maintain a
    KPI-driven inventory mindset
    (inventory accuracy, shrink, audit variance, on-time transfers)
  • Drive continuous improvement of
    inventory processes, tools, and documentation
  • Partner cross-functionally on forecasting, new product launches, and operational planning
  • Support system integrity within inventory and WMS platforms
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years
    in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics management
  • Proven experience owning
    inventory accuracy, audits, and transfers
  • Strong understanding of receiving, stocking, cycle counting, and reconciliation
  • Experience managing retail transfer orders or multi-location inventory
  • Highly
    detail-oriented
    with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable leading teams and holding high standards for execution
  • Experience coordinating drivers and delivery schedules
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, WMS platforms, and ERP tools
  • (Net Suite, SAP, Blue Yonder, Infor, or similar a plus)
