Job Title: Director of Corporate Events
Location: New York, NY
Pay Rate: $70.00 – $72.00/hr
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 5 days / 40 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Overview

The Director of Corporate Events will lead high-impact corporate and employee engagement activations from concept through flawless execution. This role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on production oversight, ensuring seamless, brand‑aligned experiences that strengthen employee engagement and support corporate relations objectives. The Director partners closely with executive stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative, insight‑driven events that align with business priorities and brand standards.

Specifications Strategic Planning & Insights
  • Support development and execution of event strategies aligned with corporate objectives and brand standards.
  • Manage and communicate a comprehensive event calendar tied to key business priorities.
  • Develop detailed event scenarios, timelines, and milestone tracking.
  • Provide regular progress updates and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance event experiences.
Event Activation – Pre‑Production / On‑Site Preparation
  • Serve as primary event producer, overseeing the full event lifecycle from ideation through delivery.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration to align on deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Partner with Corporate Relations, Internal Communications, P&C, and Brand teams to translate business objectives into impactful experiences.
  • Source and manage vendors and production partners, ensuring adherence to strategy, brand guidelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee concept development, catering, décor, entertainment, branded activations, and experiential elements.
  • Guide stakeholder decisions while balancing creativity, logistics, budget, and risk.
Event Activation – Execution
  • Lead all on‑site event operations, coordinating with venues, vendors, production teams, and internal staff.
  • Act as primary escalation point during live events, implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure operational excellence, guest experience, and brand alignment throughout execution.
Event Activation – Post‑Production
  • Develop detailed event reports outlining results and key learnings.
  • Manage invoicing, budget reconciliation, and financial closeout.
  • Capture insights and feedback to refine strategies and enhance engagement impact.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in event marketing, corporate events, or employee engagement activations.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic communication and aligning cross‑market teams.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience using data to inform decision-making and validate recommendations.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and establish credibility with executive leadership.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy and translating brand identity into event experiences.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale events and vendor relationships.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work non-business hours, including weekends, when required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge.
  • Air Table experience.
  • Advanced presentation development skills (Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Suite).

  • Contract duration: 5 months (extension/conversion possible).
  • Overtime:
    Possible.
  • Interview process: 1st round with Hiring Manager; 2nd round with VP.
