Operations Manager
We are partnering with a well-capitalized, global real estate investment platform with a long-term ownership mindset and a deep, active development pipeline across the U.S. and Canada. The firm is known for executing complex, institutional-quality industrial developments, redevelopments, and build-to-suit projects in major logistics and infill markets.
They are seeking a Development & Construction Manager to join their New York–based Asset Management team—an opportunity intentionally structured for a high-potential, early-career professional (3–5 years of experience) who wants hands‑on exposure to the full development lifecycle, close mentorship from senior leadership, and a clear path to expanded responsibility over time.
The OpportunityYou’ll join a dedicated project management group responsible for a large and active development pipeline, with exposure to:
- Build-to-suit projects, expansions, and major renovations
- Entitlement-heavy redevelopment projects
- Assets across multiple major U.S. markets
This is a hands‑on, execution‑oriented role covering the full development lifecycle—from early feasibility and permitting through construction, tenant delivery, and closeout—with meaningful responsibility from day one and a clear growth runway.
What You’ll Do- Support pre‑development efforts including site diligence, zoning, utilities, environmental review, and budgeting
- Assist with and progressively own entitlement and permitting processes
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors through design and construction
- Track schedules, budgets, draw requests, and change orders
- Participate in contractor procurement and construction oversight
- Coordinate landlord work, tenant improvements, and project handover to operations
- 3–5 years of experience in development, construction management, owner’s rep, GC, or design‑build environments
- Industrial project experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to pre‑development or municipal coordination (full ownership not required)
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow within an institutional platform
- Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, in‑office environment
