We are currently searching for a Branch Manager with excellent management and branch sales experience to join our dynamic team!

This role manages all aspects of a branch and is accountable for financial performance (P&L), new business development, customer experience, coaching, and complying with all policies and procedures. The Branch Manager has in-depth knowledge and relationships within the community they serve. Executive presence coupled with authenticity and thoughtfulness in approach are critical for fit for the role. Emphasis is placed on ensuring that the branch achieves budgeted results and effectively manages risk.

The Branch Manager is responsible to develop new business with a focus on small business loans and further expand existing business relationships while attracting new money.

Responsibilities
  • P/L management: Be fully accountable to manage the branch budget by ensuring revenues and expenses meet or exceed goals
  • Lead sales activities: Source new client relationships and expand existing client relationships by bringing the full suite of products to the client
  • Culture and service: Institute a sales and service culture with a sharp focus on providing clients with a best in class customer experience
  • Sales pipeline: Build and manage a robust branch loan and deposit sales pipeline. Review reporting and provide feedback on performance against sales targets
  • Community: Develop a strong local network to promote the branch's involvement within the community
Leadership
  • Mentor and coach staff through leadership by example of Popular’s Institutional values:

  • Effectively communicate branch goals to employees and monitor goal attainment
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards while delivering a best in class customer experience
Operations
  • Oversee and coordinate branch operations, including training and managing teams to adhere to procedures, recruitment, and expense management
  • Be accountable for branch assessment results, audits, and BSA efforts. Act as primary escalation point for decisions and issues within the branch
  • Ensure operational risks are mitigated and branch and teams adhere to regulatory compliance policies
  • Lead and develop Branch Supervisor to oversee day to day operations with focus on procedures and compliance
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities consistent with policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, and evaluating performance
To be considered, you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and/or five years or more of experience in Retail Branch operations, business development, sales and managing employees or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience as Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager is preferred
  • NMLS registration;
    Safe Act compliant

Base Salary & Benefits

Our base salary for this position located in New York City generally ranges between $95,000.00 and $ annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or other remuneration or benefits.

In addition to salary, Popular's benefits package includes a comprehensive health plan, flexible time off options, and savings and investment plans. Seasonal/temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
