Location: ManhassetJob Description
Directs and implements strategic planning for nursing practice and patient care delivery across multiple Ambulatory departments in the Queens and Nassau County markets. Ensures operational effectiveness of Patient Care by partnering with operations executives to ensure that clinical initiatives are operationally feasible and financially sustainable.
Job Responsibility
Develops and executes a short-term strategic vision for patient care services, including growth and business development, clinical management, budgeting, financial management, and quality management of responsible departments.Maintain and strengthen clinical oversight within the ambulatory care environment while ensuring seamless integration with Institutional Nursing leadership and Operations executives.Work closely with regional leadership teams to align nursing practice initiatives with broader organizational goals and operational strategies.Oversees the coordination of assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the operations of multiple departments and functions within Patient Care Services; ensuring integration with system goals.Establishes and implements evidence-based policies, standards, and care delivery models to promote continuous quality improvement, maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards and professional practice guidelines across all areas of responsibility.Identifies and integrates innovative technologies and practices to enhance operational efficiency and clinical excellence.Fosters a collaborative environment by planning and implementing educational programs to enhance professional self-esteem, creating structures for leadership development, succession planning, staff engagement, and collaborating across functional, clinical, and business areas to integrate patient care initiatives.Performs related duties as required.All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Job Qualification
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Bachelors or Masters must be in Nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, based on location of service areas required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
Ambulatory experience preferred.
