The role guides portfolio strategy and execution for a complex institutional real estate portfolio on behalf of a large pension client.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Shape residential portfolio strategy and translate direction into executable plans through operating partners and investment structures. Support development of new investment vehicles.
Client Leadership:
Serve as senior client-facing leader for institutional investors. Represent the firm with operating partners, brokers, and industry participants across the residential sector.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee a large institutional residential real estate portfolio with primary focus on multi-family and manufactured housing investments. Direct value-creation strategies. Review and approve investment decisions, capital allocations, and transaction recommendations. Represent the institutional client on management, investment, and governance committees.
Valuation and Risk:
Partner with internal and external valuation consultants to execute portfolio valuation policy. Ensure analytical rigor and compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee decision-oriented reporting for institutional clients and senior stakeholders.
Leadership:
Mentor and develop investment professionals. Promote high standards of analysis and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of commercial real estate experience with deep residential portfolio management expertise
- Experience with in an institutional environment (allocator, operator, or GP)- Proven success supporting institutional clients including pension plans
- Senior client-facing investment professional background required
