Chief Development Officer –Immediate Full Time Opportunity

River Spring Living is seeking a Director of Sales to join our dynamic team!

The River Spring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York. River Spring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

Position Overview

The Chief Development Officer will provide overall fund-raising leadership and implementation including planning, management and direction of the development initiatives. The position is also responsible for all fundraising efforts including creation and implementation of capital and annual campaigns, major gifts, deferred gifts, foundation, corporate and government support, direct/electronic mail and events as well as research.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Directs the day to day operation of Development Department
  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, prospects, donors, government leaders, business leaders and other prospective donors
  • Work with and support the board of trustees in all facets of solicitation and stewardship
  • Responsible for management of the development staff and consultants in all development activities and working with other departments to develop funding strategies for specific programs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred, with 7+ years of progressive management and fundraising experience
  • Must have a proven professional record of success, be able to multitask and display a professional manner to be able to interact effectively with administrators, staff, volunteers, donors and potential donors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Raisers Edge Required

Compensation
  • Annual Salary: $275,000 - $300,000
