PositionPurpose
Effectively lead the team in development and operational tasks within a designated retail branch, supporting HFCU’s mission and core values. Direct, motivate, and develop the team to attain goals while ensuring all service standards are adhered to, both internally and externally.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Demonstrate understanding of HFCU’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values, with expertise in HFCU’s products and services.
- Engage, enthusiastically lead the branch, and provide guidance and support for each team member via the Employee Performance Program, including monthly 1x1 sessions.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
- Manage employee relation issues in a timely manner, with professionalism toward resolution.
- Support HFCU initiatives for employee development and team engagement through collaboration with training and development programs.
- Work with the team to develop an appropriate succession plan and support recruiting.
- Communicate effectively with department leaders and peers to build a network of support.
- Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly communication with the team, including daily huddles and monthly branch meetings.
- Ensure member service standards are met through effective coaching and development of each team member; handle concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
- Partner with Business Intelligence to analyze branch trends, recognize new opportunities, and recommend solutions to Retail Leadership.
- Assess branch trends in transactional, goal attainment, and industry standards to make effective headcount recommendations.
- Assume responsibility for all branch management areas, including day‑to‑day operations and sales processes.
- Proactively plan activities to assist in attaining monthly goals (e.g., in‑branch call nights, collaboration with local businesses, promotional information).
- Prospect and visit local businesses for brand awareness and to meet business and commercial goals.
- Participate in community involvement to build relationships with community leaders and increase brand awareness.
- Oversee the branch’s monthly financial budget, manage expenses, and analyze profitability with Retail Leadership.
- Develop sales service plans to help the branch meet goals; pivot as business needs change.
- Identify operational enhancements and share findings with leadership.
- Maintain a safe and sound work environment, adhering to audit and security expectations.
- Represent Retail in organizational team projects professionally and competently.
- Mentor and support new branch managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and/or a comparable combination of education and experience. Notary License required or obtainable within 6 months of hire.
KnowledgeProficiency in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and cooperation with the designated BSA Officer for compliance.
Experience- 3+ years as a Branch Manager with Business Development.
- Experience in outbound calling/prospecting and visiting local businesses.
- Experience with business and commercial products; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
