Summary/Primary Role: Brightcore Energy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team based in Armonk, NY/Brooklyn, NY. This role supports the Geothermal Development team, managing a diverse range of development responsibilities in-office and on-site to ensure successful geothermal project implementation.

  • Assist in collaborating closely with project stakeholders to craft construction plans, budgets, and timelines aligned with project goals.
  • Support on-site project management activities, including overseeing drilling operations and subcontractor activities under the guidance of the Construction Project Manager.
  • Assist in managing subcontractor and vendor processes, including vetting, sourcing, quoting, and onboarding procedures.
  • Lead permitting research, submittals, and approvals process.
  • Coordinate project deliverables on , involving engineering, drilling operations, subcontractors, vendors, and the Construction Manager.
  • Establish and manage Procore data, including daily logs, RFIs, invoice approvals, budget, and change orders.
  • Collaborate in creating a comprehensive master project schedule for execution.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure design specifications align with project requirements.
  • Support the drilling operations team by coordinating work orders and vendor requirements for on-site equipment rentals.
  • Coordinate and execute key construction tasks for renewable energy sites (exterior and interior).
  • Supervise and coordinate exterior and interior construction activities, including demolition, installation, renovation, and preparation work.
  • Maintain oversight of construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, including regular inspections and quality control measures.
  • Help establish and enforce site preparation, infrastructure development, and construction protocols to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality completion.
  • Assist in resource allocation (equipment, materials, labor) to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Support in maintaining safety and quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
  • Monitor project expenses, track costs, and provide budget status reports to senior management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Project Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of project management experience (field and remote) in general construction.
  • Experience with geothermal heating and cooling systems preferred.
  • Understanding of construction processes, permitting, building codes, safety requirements, subcontractor/vendor management, site supervision, and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of regional technical standards, building regulations, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Extensive travel to customer sites in New York and New Jersey.
  • Experience with Procore and  is desirable.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Expected Hours of Work & Salary

Minimum of 30 hours per week for full-time benefits eligibility, with an average of 40 hours and overtime as scheduled. Base salary range: $90,000.00 – $, plus benefits. Salary may be modified based on location, experience, credentials, and internal equity.

Travel Requirements
  • Travel may be required up to 30% to work/project sites in the greater Northeast region.
