Account Director – Group SJR

Group SJR, part of JSR content consultancy, is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead client services and deliver high‑impact content strategies for our portfolio of brands.

• Account Strategy & Growth: Own profitability, growth and direction of client business; serve as main point of contact, plan long‑term, nurture relationships.
• Strategic Planning: Lead ideation, develop strategic plans, collaborate with teams to bring client objectives to life.
• Problem Solving: Guide team to achieve objectives, eliminate rework, act as escalation point for client requests.
• Strategic Insight: Provide industry trend insights, work with analytics team to evaluate program performance and maximize ROI.
• Finance & Compliance: Submit invoices, draft MSAs, maintain revenue forecasts, manage vendor budgets, ensure compliance with SOWs.
• Business Development: Identify organic growth opportunities, support pitch development and presentations.
• Creative & Editorial: Oversee quality control of creative and editorial production; present concepts to clients and manage budget constraints.
• Staff Mentorship: Mentor team members, contribute to performance reviews, foster continuous improvement.

• Minimum five years’ account management experience in an agency setting.
• Strong understanding of content strategy and multi‑platform execution.
• Proven track record of building strong client relationships and delivering business results.
• Ability to mine insights for creative strategies and content programs.
• Growth mindset, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Leadership and communication skills to mentor and nurture a team.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to feedback.
• Exceptionally personable and positive demeanor.

• Experience in journalism or publishing.
• Passion for current trends in content marketing, digital strategy and technology.

• Competitive salary range $110,000–$160,000 USD (based on role and location).
