Salary Range: $72,500.00 – $90,000.00 / year
Responsibilities- Direct supervision of multiple Program Directors, overseeing a caseload of NIA after‑school program locations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned Program Directors, remaining readily available for support, troubleshooting, on‑site coaching, and communicating with parents/principals as needed.
- Serve as the liaison between NIA program sites and main office departments.
- Ensure the Regional Program Supervisor stays apprised of any program concerns or emergencies in real time, including compliance with DYCD requirements and OCFS regulations.
- Conduct regularly scheduled program site visits and observe activities to assess program quality; perform at least one documented administrative visit and one documented program observation monthly, with additional visits as needed for principal meetings, informal staff observations, and Program Director coaching.
- Substitute on site at assigned programs if Program Director is not available and a reasonable management plan cannot be put in place.
- Evaluate program activity quality and provide support to ensure unit plans follow a scope and sequence to build desired skills.
- Ensure programs operate according to all NIA, funder, and licensor regulations and standards.
- Ensure assigned programs maintain valid School Age Child Care licenses, comply with licensor regulations, and respond as needed to licensor visits and notes.
- As needed, be named as Director on program licenses until a qualified on‑site Director is named.
- Assist in conducting meetings with school principals and hosting VIP and funder site visits.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to all regulations when responding to incidents and accidents at assigned programs.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for school administrators and families if incidents or accidents occur.
- Closely monitor online databases used by program funders (e.g., DYCD Connect).
- Respond to staff disciplinary matters in accordance with NIA policies and procedures, in coordination with upper managers and HR.
- Assist in identifying professional development needs and organizing training opportunities.
- Conduct Program Director performance evaluations.
- Assist with the creation and approval of printed program materials (letters, flyers, etc.) in coordination with NIA’s marketing and communications team and upper managers.
- Represent NIA at professional conferences, schools, and community events.
- Assist with organization special events.
- Participate in required professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by NIA.
- Support coordination between program sites and other NIA resources, including those provided by the Director of Education and Director of Capacity Building; ensure site participation in NIA initiatives and alignment with organizational instructional goals.
- Review and forward program orders and event requests for processing; review requests for errors or questions and ensure purchases align with program goals; ensure check payment requests are submitted with complete documentation.
- Monitor program enrollment and participation, scheduled activities, and quality across all assigned sites to ensure alignment with funder expectations; share findings with the Regional Program Supervisor.
- Oversee the selection, hiring, orientation, and ongoing training of Program Directors and Assistant Program Directors; assist in the hiring and ongoing training for all program line staff, including Content Specialists, Program Aides, Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, and Youth Workers; make organizational requests for job postings as vacancies arise.
- Assist with data collection and funder reporting as needed, including support with program progress reports, review of program participation rates, and review of program workscopes; ensure responsiveness to organization‑wide data collection requests.
