Principal Associate, Checking Strategy & Insights Project Manager

We are looking for a project management professional to join the Capital One Checking Strategy and Bank Insights team. As a Principal Associate project manager, you will work with cross‑functional partners in the checking business, Retail Bank, and partner Lines of Business to deliver on ambitious goals.

• Lead and manage recurring business reporting routines, including coordinating the compilation and presentation of monthly and quarterly business results to senior executives, modernizing processes and dashboards.
• Lead and manage recurring cross‑team operations, including cross‑team leadership routines and data management standards and processes.
• Stand up new strategic, cross‑functional processes, such as project management and collaboration methods, to enable cross‑team product policy, customer engagement, and business initiatives.

• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management with the ability to quickly put structure in place for complex projects and programs in a dynamic environment.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans to meet changing requirements.
• Ensure projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
• Maintain excellent attention to detail and organization, self‑managing multiple projects or programs and problem‑solving in real time as needed.
• Exhibit strong communication and partnership skills when interacting with key stakeholders at all levels across the company.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement change within scope.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
• At least 3 years of Program or Project Management experience.
• At least 3 years of Agile delivery experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies.
• At least 2 years of Relationship management experience.

• Master’s/MBA degree.
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.
• 5+ years of Program or Project Management experience.

McLean, VA: $120,800 – $137,900 per year;
New York,NY: $131,800 – $150,500 per year.

Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives.
