Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) Node Lead to join a highly visible, large‑scale pharmaceutical project. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving commissioning and qualification execution across a major site initiative.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in complex greenfield or brownfield environments, with the leadership capability to oversee large, multi‑disciplinary teams and ensure delivery against aggressive timelines and strict regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the C&Q Program Lead within your assigned node.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive C&Q strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Ensure strict adherence to C&Q procedures and program standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency while maintaining compliance.
  • Provide regular reporting to program leadership on progress, risks, and key issues.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with vendors and third parties.
  • Oversee daily C&Q activities across the node.
  • Review Mechanical Completion (MC) documentation from C&Q vendors.
  • Support operational readiness efforts across the site.
  • Utility priming.
  • Instrument calibration.
  • Automation system download.
  • VFD setup.
  • Manage punch list resolution with internal teams and vendors.
  • Collaborate with other Node Leads to ensure aligned execution strategies.
  • Coordinate site utilities and temporary services (e.g., steam, water, power).
  • Oversee wastewater and drainage coordination.
  • Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) activities with the mechanical team.
  • Lead system handovers to end‑user teams.
  • Reporting & Metrics.
  • Change management tracking.
  • Progress measurement and reporting.
  • Critical path analysis.
  • Resource planning.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety‑first culture across all activities.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience leading C&Q teams within pharmaceutical environments.
  • Demonstrated success on large‑scale greenfield or brownfield projects.
  • Experience leading large teams (100+ personnel strongly preferred).
  • Background in client‑side or owner‑representative roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, qualification, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, fully on‑site environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Lead a high‑impact, highly visible pharmaceutical project.
  • Oversight of large, cross‑functional teams with real decision‑making ownership.
  • Long‑term project runway with strong continuity.
  • Hands‑on leadership role driving execution on‑site.
