Our client is an investment firm that uses a research-intensive approach to long/short equity investing primarily in the technology, consumer, and business services sectors.
Responsibilities
- Manage tax‐related processes in coordination with fund administrators and external tax advisers including tax allocations, estimates, K‐1s, and returns
- Prepare internal book‐to‐tax reconciliations for the fund and investor tax estimates
- Oversee tax compliance for the funds and management company
- Prepare and review various filings including sales and use tax, 1099s, quarterly PTET estimates, and quarterly UBT and commercial rent
- Manage federal and state tax audits
- Monitor and incorporate changes in tax legislation affecting funds or management company
- Monitor and report on budget vs. actual performance on an ongoing basis
- Manage bill pay process and ensure timely payment of expenses
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 6-10 years of related tax experience
- CPA preferred
